MOHAWK VALLEY BLUES SOCIETY BYLAWS

 

Members are urged to read Article III: Meetings and Elections.  Coming up in October will be the General Meeting and Elections.  Members must have been in good standing for at least 30 days prior to the General Meeting and Elections to be eligible to nominate, vote, and participate in this meeting.

 

General Meeting and Elections

October 15, 7:00pm

Wakely's On Varick, 700 Varick Street, Utica

 

Nominations open at midnight on Wednesday September 12 (in time for the jam at Utica Brews).

Nominations close at midnight on Thursday October 11 (just after the October jam at Utica Brews).

 

For the record, the September jam is 33 days before the General Meeting and Election.

"Mohawk Valley Blues Society, hereinafter also referred to as the society, shall operate as a not for profit corporation organized exclusively for charitable, educational, religious, or scientific purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Service Code, for the following purposes:

1) To bring the love of blues to our region by providing live entertainment to the Mohawk Valley area.

2) To offer blues artists another outlet in which to carry on the tradition and art of the blues.

3) To increase awareness of and educate people from all walks of life to have an appreciation for the blues."
