MVBS LAUNCHES NEW WEBSITE

Tuesday, June 8th, 2010 - 10:33 am

Welcome to the new Mohawk Valley Blues Society Website! We've changed our web address to www.mohawkvalleyblues.org to better reflect our geographic location and our non-profit status. The new site offers visitors more content and MVBS artist info, and a new calendar of MVBS events.

There have been some very exciting developments at the MVBS in 2010, including new officers and board of directors. The new board is moving forward, and would like you to join them in their mission to "bring the love of the blues to our area, through live performance and education, and to offer blues artists another outlet in which to carry on the tradition and art of the blues."

Through the past five years the MVBS has worked to create a strong network of blues performers and enthusiasts in the Central New York, presented great blues performances, and raised the level of recognition and acceptance of the blues in our area.

The new MVBS board of directors currently is planning future events, including shows, jams, workshops, educational presentations, and special projects. Keep checking this space and sign up for our newsletter to keep posted on future happenings!
